At Mudgeeraba Special School we provide a guaranteed and viable curriculum ensuring that every student is succeeding every day in every classroom. In alignment with the Disability Standards for Education of 2005 we see that students with disability can access and participate in education on the same basis as their same age peers. We deliver the Australian Curriculum and through differentiation we support the diverse learning needs of students within our school. Teachers ensure a balanced literacy approach across learning areas and programs.
Students within the school have either an Individual Curriculum Plan (ICP) or Personal Future Action Plan (PFAP) which outline their learning goals and curriculum focus. This plan is developed each semester in conjunction with relevant stakeholders ensuring strengths, needs, skills and abilities are captured within the plan. Reporting is based on the goals developed within these plans.
